Even though component shortage is a known issue for a couple of years, Audi has started documenting it as "Semi conductor shortage package" in the window sticker.
Wish there was an appropriate compensation for the features which are being deleted. |

Well, the good thing is it’s free! They didn’t charge you for not installing all that stuff!

This makes me wonder if this is another factor of why some builds keep getting pushed. I was just assuming it could be any number of things, but I've been pushed twice and I have the Driver's Assistants Pro package (but no Parking Assistance). If Audi is having issues with those packages, I would assume BMW probably is too (I know they did with the Parking, but hadn't heard about the Driver's one). Not that it matters, if it gets delayed it gets delayed, but people keep trying to find commonalities with CF packages/buckets and it could be something like one of those packages instead.

man... adjustable lumber and audio package is one thing... no blind spot in 2022? ouch! Audi fans will keep the Audi owners happy w/ elevated used market values. wow.
Audi is literally now in 2012 w/ active safety features. This is going to hurt resale for these cars something fierce. |

It's not free per se. Lol. They actually take $1200 off the price. Unlike BMW and the others where they take like $50-150 off.

Every manufacturer is feeling this. Not every Audi has this much content taken out (I have two 2022 Audi's and they aren't missing anything at all).

This doesn’t even bother me compared to what BMW is removing from the X3 30i.

Haha you have an RS5. Only the new A4s and Q5s (premium/premium plus) have the shortage pack. We went shopping for a new car and that's when I noticed it. Prestiges have everything included (but apparently the new Prestige models will probably have the shortage pack too).
And Audi is taking $1200 off the pack. I don't get the part where people say "Oh atleast, it's free". I wonder what I'm missing.

Some people still prefer lesser electronics / driver assist features on their vehicles. In this day and age, they are happy that Audi is not charging them to give what they want.

I like Audis and had several over the years but they do understeer. That’s simply what they do. The RS5/7 cars are not track weapons but are fantastic highway limos, much better for longer distance driving than any comparable M or AMG.

The RS5 and RS7 are fairly neutral. The RS5 handles better than a C63s (I agree they are not as track focused as M cars).
