+MUSIC; "Empty list"

I have 6fl iPod system, non-iDrive.

Generally the set-up works fine, but i'm finding on a more regular basis that when i press
"LIST" ==>
"+MUSIC" ==>
i get "EMPTY LIST" shown, yet if I go and search using some other method - Genre, for example, i can do so.
Seems only way to "reset" this and make the car "see" my iPod total music contents is to pull the USB & 3.5mm plugs from the 6fl connectors in the arm-rest cubby, then plug them back in. Seems to reset it.

this was only happening rarely, but now seems to be happening more often, and does NOT coincide with me removing the iPod and adding new music to it etc.

Anyone else getting the same issue?
Didn't feel it's worth booking it in for inspection just for this.

No problems with mine, always showing list and contents.

Atariboy, it's an issue I get with my iPod (although the iPod works fine and I have no issues either when using the iPod out of the car).
is happening more frequently now - approx once a week?

Nothing that I can attribute to be the root cause of this, with either the car (4.5months old) or iPod (9 months old).

I have the exact same problem and it's a PITA to open the armrest, open the ipod pouch, disconnect the cable wait a few seconds, and re-plug in.. I'm also having problems when searching for artist/song/etc.. I either get the correct song name or 4 letter characters (ie: azut, or tzuj) which sux.. Anybody else have this issue? I wouldn't want to re-format the ipod and load everything again, but if push comes to shove, i will take that route..

Garage List
I've gotten the four letter names with the iPod, too, but haven't bothered to investigate the root cause. Lately I've been using a straight 4GB USB thumbdrive without issue.
