Extended leather no longer covers the door?

Haven't seen this mentioned here on the forum. I reconfigurated my spec today (M3 xDrive) on the website and noticed that the standard extended leather no longer covers the doors. Really hoping this is a change for the 2023 model year and 2022 model year cars are not affected—my car has already been built. I've attached what it previously showed a couple months back and what it now shows. Will really regret not opting for full leather if this is actually what I end up getting..

All G8x are this way (21 & 22). Full leather includes upper door panel, upper and lower dash. Extended is what you posted.

Think he meant the door card inserts are no longer color matched

Ah, I see. That's weird. That's terrible if true. I just went to the configurator to confirm. Maybe a glitch?

Edit: Looks like theres no matched leather on door panel for Yas, Silverstone, or KO. However there is for Fiona, Tartufo, Ivory, and Fjord.

I have Silverstone extended and it is color match on the door. March production April delivery.

Most likely a glitch. KO is the only one that doesn't show it, but YMB does when I build.

I tried to build a base with a few not showing. Probably a glitch.

Yes im going with it being a glitch. Extended still covers the doors on the UK site regardless of colour.

Maybe a browser cache issue? If you are using chrome browser try clearing cache or just testing it in an incognito browser window to see if it fixes the issue. Or its just with glitch in the configurator. Or worse…its no longer color matched

The biggest mistake I see when people are talking about the interior options on these cars, is the verbage, EXTENDED vs FULL MERINO. I've seen people that know BMWs well, not quoting the interior correctly. I see what you're saying about the door card inserts being colored leather. That's good question. I ordered full merino in my car, but its black, so, that doesn't help.

Online configurator is known for issues. I would reach out to the CA for more information / clarifications.

I just built a car on the German, UK, and Canadian configurator, and unless you go full leather, the door covers are all black...

I built an M4 and the YMB interior extended leather only carries over the yellow stitching, not the blue leather.

Bumping this up for other's experience. I know the configurator is glitchy, but 4 different locations have the same results, unless they use the same backend application.

This may force me to add full leather to my build.

Maybe this just another part of BMW's master plan to extract even MORE money from peoples wallets!

Either that or it's just a cost-cutting measure, or a leather supply issue. I guess we'll find out soon when the MY2023 G8x build sites are up & running.

Truth! My low $80k build is going to turn to $90 very quickly with the potential increases.

Yep, I can say that here in the UK it's the same situation. I'm going to raise this with my CA tomorrow, as I'm less than pleased about not having Silverstone applied to the door walls. I also noticed from the configurator that the model prices have also gone up (by about 2K here).
