The car I bought have the all season run-flat tires set up which is optioned by the dealer (I have no clue why they would even choose this option). I would love to get this replace. I have a few questions:

Would changing the rim/tires to an after market one void any bmw new vehicle warranty?
If I want to have a staggered set up, how would you recommend in doing so?
What tire or rim should I be getting?
Should I go to a dealer or tire shop to make tire/rim changes?
Do I need to report to my insurance company about any changes?

- No, Warranty can't be voided for tire/wheel change.

- BMW already gives these cars a staggered set-up with the MPro Sport Package - 255 in the rear and 245 in the front. So OEM wise, you know you can upgrade to that already. I've seen people running 265's in the back though, definitely check the different threads for a better idea.

What tire or rim should I be getting?
- Rim, that's completely up to you.
- Tire - If you can, go for the Michelin PS4S', best performance street tire imo.

Should I go to a dealer or tire shop to make tire/rim changes?
- Would probably be cheaper to go to a tire shop. Also you'll most likely have more options for rims at a shop vs your dealer.

Do I need to report to my insurance company about any changes?
- Definitely not

Aftermarket rims and tires can absolutely cause warranty problems. But its a complex question. Its all depends on what part you need repaired and how aggressive is your setup.

Always plan on keeping your stock set incase they give you problems.

if you keep the same size as any of the factory option combinations available you should be totally ok. no way in any shape or form would that result in a warranty problem....of course if the aftermarket wheel fell apart...that's on you.
