Gaps in front lip on F32
When looking at photo's of F32s with front lip/splitter there always seems to be a bit of a gap on each side where the splitter doesn't fully cover the bumper. Seems to be with some OEM as well as 3rd party.
I think this would frustrate me especially as i have a bright blue car so would be pretty noticeable. Has any one tried using something like black tape under a black lip to make the difference unnoticeable? Thinking it could work but wouldn't no what tape to use. (still haven't ordered my front splitter) |

The install instructions on the M Perf splitter tell you to black out those small roughly 1/4” wide strips that are left uncovered at the rear edges in front of the outer bumper grilles.
But people are lazy… I used black tape on mine. |

Nope. I used 9mm high-quality automotive vinyl decal tape. (It has a long lasting durable gloss finish, handles surface curvature, won’t peel/crack/fade, and it’s adhesive won’t damage the underlying paint.) Mine was from Vvivid, but 3M/Oracal stuff is good too.

thanks for the idea, ill buy some vinyl tape as well. i read the official bmw instructions and they tell you to use a black paint pen... which I was going to skip, but vinyl is a good idea.
