What is this?

I removed the front bumper and this rubber dropped on the floor. Any idea what is this and where did it come from? I appreciate any help.

P.S. there is no part number on it except number "15". This is from my 2011 323i

That part caused me so much mystery with noises I couldn't track down.

It goes under the air box to isolate it from the car frame

It's not a butt plug. We can rule that out.

I just had to buy one because some idiot lost it. I'm waiting until the next PCV heater recall is done before installing it.

Yep, goes between air box and body panel/frame spar. First time I pulled the air box it fell out and I freaked out not knowing where it came from!
