Please Help Identify Trunk Feature

2007 E93. My amp was blown recently when water leaked into the left trunk well where the amp resides. Besides getting another amp, I'm trying to figure out how to prevent rain water from getting back in there again. Can anyone identify what this tube is, and where it goes to/comes from? Is it part of the evap system?

If I pull it up slightly from where it is seated, the hole in the floor provides a natural drain for water. Am thinking maybe that is a interim solution until I have time to run down all the possible drain clog issues. Am including pix with the amp in place, and moved aside
