Jb+ daily driving

Anyone had experience with jb+ on the g42? Wanting some extra power but don't wanna sacrifice daily driving and smoothness. Also willing to go jb4 if it's really that big of an upgrade just don't have 93 octane near me.

I didn't really notice any difference with daily driving.

I had it on my car for about 4 months before I upgraded to the new Dinan piggyback tune. I really liked it and felt it was about a smooth as stock but with a bit more kick in certain rpm ranges. In my opinion for the cost and ease of install, it can't be beat.

The JB+ delivery is smooth; I don't think you will notice a difference vs. stock.

The JB4 is always the better option with more power, features, and failsafe to protect your engine.

You don't need 93 octane to utilize JB4, I believe Maps 1 and 2 work just fine with 91/92!

JB4 > All others

Map0: Stock tuning, fully disable JB4
Map1: Additive map with peak of 3psi over stock added (91 octane)
Map2: Additive map with peak of 4psi over stock added (91-93 octane)
Map3: Additive map with peak of 6psi over stock added (93+ octane)
Map4: Absolute target map with peak of 20psi target (93+ and/or E30 octane) suggested for higher boost models like G chassis, Supra, and Z4. EWG required for proper control.
Map5: Absolute target map with peak of 22psi target (E30+ fuel) suggested for higher boost models like G chassis, Supra, and Z4. EWG required for proper control.
Map6: Custom tuning map allowing both additive (below 10psi) and absolute (above 10psi) targeting. Setting RPM1500 boost below 5.7psi will make entire map6 additive, setting above 6psi will make entire map6 absolute target.
Map7: WMI map (boost varies based on WMI additive, meth flow, and other criteria)
Map8: VALET / Low Boost Map

Also keep in mind,Terry will help you dial in these maps. You don’t have to just set it and forget it(unless you want too)

There is tons of other settings that most people will never understand. Fuel settings, waste gate settings etc etc
