Greedy People

I was looking around on post and I see alot of people trying to sell the type 162 wheels. Yes they look nice, but whoa, why are they selling the wheels for so much money, i mean you know they bought the wheels with the sports package and the S/P is only 1600, but why are they selling the wheels for like over 2000 plus shipping. Do they think we are stupid and dont know how much the wheels are, and I know that some people are going to be mad at me, but that is my opinion. Yes i understand supply and demand, but please people if i didnt get the S/P and i want to buy the wheels, i have to do alot more then buy the wheels, there is the springs and shocks and the worst part is to install. they charge a arm and a leg, so why dont you make it easy and stop robbing people of they hard earn money.

yes that is so true. I wanted to buy the wheels from so many people, but they are asking for such ridiculous prices. Yes i am one of the people who made a mistake by not getting the S/P but hey i made a mistake, now if i want the wheels I have to spend triple the money and get half of the things i would get if I got the S/P. I just want to say good luck to all the sellers of the type 162 wheels.

Why not buy an aftermarket wheel instead? Then at least your car will stand out a bit from the crowd.

Yes, the sports pack is only 1600, but it's not like you get sport wheels IN ADDITION TO the standard wheels... the 1600 is only the price DIFFERENTIAL between standard and sport features... if you look at the accessory guide, you'll see that wheels START at $3500 for a set of 4.... so $2000 is not unreasonable (in fact, it seems like a good deal)... and no, I'm not selling any wheels

Steply is 100% correct, I tried switching wheels out at the dealer and that was the exact thing that my saleperson explained. $2000 is a pretty good deal!!!

and as steply said, I am not one of those trying to sell my 162s!!!

Well if wanted the 162's then you should of gotten the S/P from the start....Its not our fault that you didn't want too. Just for the rims alone...its $2000 on ebay. The people on the forum are selling wheels with the Run Flat Tires...So therefore $2000 is a good deal.

If you knew the retail price of the wheels purchased from the dealer, you wouldn't think people were robbing you, you would know that they are in fact helping you save your hard earned money...as for the "stupid" remark, NO comment.

If $2000 includes the Bridgestone tires, that's a steal because the tires alone cost about $1,100per set on Tire Rack. (not including mounting and balancing).

Even without the tires, that's not a bad price.

well when I get my 20's I am selling my 162's with tires for about 2000...if no one buys them...i'll just use them as back up....not big deal for me. If you want 162's then you have to PAY. I think thats a fair deal.

I totally agreed. $2000 for rims PLUS run flat tires, not a bad deal at all.

And we wonder why insurance rates (of all kinds) keep going up

I'll say it again, some people are just outright , kinda depressing but it supports my idea that there is no such thing as COMMON sense, common to all people that is!!

why don't we ask P0rnoDan and AndyLee and find out what they would be willing to pay for a set of 162 and near-new tires? I'm curious to find out what their expectations are.

Well, if this is any clue,

"...i mean you know they bought the wheels with the sports package and the S/P is only 1600, but why are they selling the wheels for like over 2000 plus shipping. Do they think we are stupid and dont know how much the wheels are..."

They are expecting people to sell the rims and tires for maybe $900 for the rims/tires(SHIPPED), $100 for the steering wheel, $400 for the seats and $200 for the the SP suspension...sound about right?? Cuz then that WILL equal $1600 for the whole SP!

Dr. Evil's voice...RIIIIGHT!!

Danny

EDIT: WTF kind of name is Pornodan anyways...kinda scary

Supply and demand! You folks are asking very high prices for these wheels, I think you will have to keep them or reduce their price !! Most folks on Ebay are looking for a bargin, not being greedy!! IMHO
Also, what is your new BMW worth if you went to sell it with 2000 miles on it, how about 3 to 5 grand less!!!
