M Dash, M1, M2 button, MDM and M Drift Analyzer update

I've been playing with the MGU and other upgrades and have a few things working well.

I now have the M Dash and HUD, M Drift Analyzer, M xdrive configuration, M1 M2 Steering buttons cycling through all dive modes, MDM traction control and the seat sliding fitted entry and egress. Would be great if they came like this from the factory!

Does the 2wd with the DSC off actually work? Have you tested it? I see you removed the install video for the M Buttons, did you install the 2nd module in the passenger side to get all of the M dash features? Care to share your seat trick, that was part of the M1 button module? Thanks

Instead of the M buttons just cycling through the different modes can’t you have each one set to a specific mode? I thought that was how they were supposed to function.

For example you set M1 to be Sport and then M2 to sport plus

Also while idrive shows the xdrive config etc does it actually do anything? Some other people have enable this stuff on the m340 and found out that they just act like dummy menus in that they actually don’t do anything like make the car rwd, etc

BMW would not cover any repair caused by the installation of the M dashboard

When I first saw this, thought it was neat, but after thinking about it, I am not going to trust some unknown, non oem module that could fry onboard electrical. As stated above BMW is not going to cover that.

The eletrical in this BMW is unlike any other car I worked on, very touchy. Just unplugging the air bag on the car with the power disconnected and drained, it still knew and threw an error I had to clear.

Especially when the module is coming from China/Aliexpess as do many rebranded throttle controllers, exhaust valve controllers and piggyback tuners. Minimal R&D and non-compliance to ANY automotive, electrical or manufacturing standard.

Would be interesting to see if you could actually effect the xDrive with this.

You can’t. It’s just a menu option that does nothing.
