06 330 - have to hold the start button to shut off?
Hello!
I recently disconnected the battery for some maintenance on my manual 330, and also re-attached the dash trim that was previously loose with some new clips. I did some other maintenance, but nothing I can think of that would affect this. The starter button works as normal, switching between accessory/on, and starting, but now, the engine won’t shut off unless you hold the button down for a couple of seconds. Clutch position doesn’t make a difference. It’s kinda like you’re trying to shut the car off while it’s still moving but in neutral. Any reason this would be happening? |

In case this happens to anyone else, it seems like the connector for the start button was slightly disconnected. After pulling the trim back off and pushing the connector back in, the button acts as normal again. Odd that a partial disconnection would cause it to act like that.
