FRM failure - can early modules be fixed?

Can a corrupted PL2 FRMFA module be repaired? If not, what part numbers have to match exactly to replace? Will any E8x-E9xCA-AHL PL2-FRMFA work?

Looking on many repair websites, it seems they only repair FRM3. My part numbers don't match the ones listed on the websites.

Code:
E9X-E8xCA-AHL (comfort access and adaptive headlights specific)
PL2-FRMFA
[27]
s: 6135 9128185-01
AW: 9128225
SW: 70000 / HW: 11
I believe my FRM has a corrupted EEPROM due to the presence of over 20 fault codes related to modules connected to the FRM including drivers door switch cluster (windows, mirrors), brake light switch, no response from DSC, SZL codes, LDM and headlight stepper after disconnecting the battery.

I replaced the battery as advised by forum members and checked voltages at the rear distribution box with a multimeter. Both batteries and all cables in the back are good.

The FRM responds via OBD, but it seems it is not communicating with connected modules.
