How to fix scuffed leather

Hey everyone, I've noticed some scuffed areas on my passenger door and armrest leather. Probably caused by nails or jewelry. It's not terrible but a little dissapointing how delicate this leather seems to be. Any feedback on repair/coverup options? I did purchase this but not sure I am brave enough to try it, concerned that if the black doesnt match I will make the damage look worse.

colourlock products are the best out there for DIY....

BUT, that one in the center console looks serious, it requires some skill, I would say to do some tryouts on something else to test your skill before doing it on the actual car.

but leather repair service is super expensive so I would really give it a try, just practice first, at the end if you end up repairing it professionally at least you tried it first.

Well I got some quotes and they were ridiculous at $300+ to fix just 2 scratches, so I decided to give it a go with the Colourlock stuff.

Watched a few repair vids and they use fine sandpaper to remove rough areas which I didnt have. Ended up using a magic eraser to try to remove most of the scratches which worked pretty well. I was afraid to really go hard so I did not remove 100% of the damage. Then 2 quick coats of the colourlock dye, which i didnt let fully dry because it was kinda darker than the leather which is really a dark gray, not full black. Wiped between coats to even it all out and blend with surrounding area and then a coat of the sealant that comes with their maintenance kit.

It's not perfect but looks alot better and only cost 18 bucks. Hoping this helps someone in the future, they seem to be known for their BMW color matching so I would think this would work on other interior colors.

Connolly Hide Care, For Preserving Sealed Leather. I scratched a small area. It took it right out. $22.95 from amazon. I have a container that is well 7 years old. Just shake it up and use. Rub in with a finger and wipe off with microfiber cloth.
