Tracing issues from electrical problems

Hey gang, dreaded water leak ruined my JB story.

I’ve replaced the JB, I’ve replaced the JBE…. Now not sure where to look. Wipers and squirts are not working, and venting for hvac is not working.

I was going to start tracing issues but every time i go to grt the initial draw off the system it blows the fuses in my multimeter.

It appears everything else is functional in the vehicle, no codes or anything other than a window adjustment.

Any ideas what i need to look at? Picture of board from corrosion/shorting…..

Hmm. What is your multimeter fused at? 10A? Regardless, doesn’t take much to push over that, but thought I’d ask.

An idea: Try diagnosing this backward. In other words, start with some/all fuses removed, and then add back the ones you don’t suspect first, and gradually work toward the most likely culprits. Any version of this might work, including pulling only the fuses for the suspect circuits, assuming you know what they *might* be. I assume if you did you’d have already pulled them, which is why I suggest trying a more blanket approach by starting with a clean slate.

Yeah, 10A....

All I know at this point is my wipers/washer pump are not operational (washer pump must be dead but not shorted, just coincidence), HVAC flaps are not functional, yesterday the window warning came on (that's new), the entire fuse section behind glove box is new. Car appears to run fantastic.

I'll begin the process like you said. I'll figure out the minimal fuses necessary to start and go from there. Thanks!

If any one has any other guidance much appreciated.

Good luck!

When you say minimal fuses required to start, you’re just referring to necessary fuses to turn car on but not actually crank, right?
