Individual Paint and the G87
Just want to get a feel for how many of us potential and expected buyers would go the Individual paint route given the option.
Currently Individual paint is not offered at the SLP Mexico plant, but with the US 3 series now being built exclusively there, it would make some sense to give us the option. The popularity of the G42 should also sway the pendulum in our favor. Pricing would likely be $4500...not including the $750 promotion ($3750) for M 50 year anniversary. At least that's the pricing of the G8X. The 2 series GC is currently $3000 ($2250 after the promo). With likely only 4-5 color options for the G87, this makes a whole lot of sense. More individuality is a win win for everyone. If you'd go the route, share your color choice! Last edited by Game; 08-18-2022 at 06:30 PM.. |

My number one has not changed since June 2021. As you are well aware it has to be approved. Exactly why I have got the other nine to fall back on.

In no particular order for me...
Miami Blue Riviera Blue Voodoo Blue Gentian Blue Laguna Seca Blue Mexico Blue Daytona Beach Blue Fire Orange Sunset Orange Rosso Corsa Red I have always been conservative when it came to car colors but this time, I am going to have some fun. Not sure about the oranges yet, but will consider them if I have a few drinks in me. |

I am generally conservative myself in regards to exterior automotive colors, but being middle age appears to change a lot of things. |

I have always wanted to be like everyone else by having the popular color and just blend in. Now I am the total opposite and want the vehicle to stand out and be noticed. Last edited by T_U_D; 08-18-2022 at 10:57 PM.. |

Depends on what colors are offered. If I don't like any then yes, I'd go with individual. It's unclear if it's even offered at launch. Might not be available until later.

Fingers crossed. I have set the bar low so not to be disappointment. Maybe NA & AG will give us a few individual colors just for the 50th? Something is better than nothing. The heritage colors would certainly be a nice start.

As I am about to take delivery of a 2022 G42 I would be a very, very late adopter (My 28 or 29), so the Individual program should have been well started and ramped up prior to then.
My list would be: 1) Le Mans blue 2) Avus blue 3) Imola red 4) Valencia orange 5) Thundernight or Daytona Violet I've had a 135i in Le Mans, a 330i ZHP in Imola, currently have a 1 M in Valencia, and am getting this weekend a 240ix in Thundernight. So I'd be going with what I know are nice, vibrant colors that sparkle, and are the best in their respective hues in my eyes. Avus is not really that far off from Le Mans, so that would be a comfortable selection in lieu of LMB.

Recent M cars typically have had the individual option in year 1.
I ordered my last M3 in 2015 in San Marino Blue, an individual color. A good friend ordered Laguna Seca, and we both picked them up in Munich. The current M5 also offered the individual program in year one. We will see if the pattern holds for the G87, but there is no reason that the brand new plant with its brand new M2 line in Mexico couldn't do it. Fingers crossed. |

IT.WAS.AWESOME...that 911 wore that orange great. Even my wife who knows nothing about cars (or couldn't care less) said to me "That color looked really nice. You should consider it." Still not sure if I have the stones to go orange but man...Fire Orange may be a serious contender now LOL. |

Im a fan of bright colors, my previous S3 was Vegas Yellow for reference….but imho, the G42/G87 look better in darker shades.
Some that I'd consider from the m3/m4 online palette are: Tanzanite Blue British Racing Green Frozen Black Metallic Ruby Black Metallic |
