My Upgrade Ingredients - Thoughts?

My last two cars - this '22 M240i and the '20 Camaro SS 1LE - have been so close to perfect that I've lost much of the mod-bug I've had for so many cars in the past. However, with this being a turbo car it's hard to not at least do a couple basic tuning mods since the performance gain is fairly significant.

This is what I'm thinking...
  • Dinantronics X Tuner
  • Milltek Large Bore Downpipe w/High Flow Sports Cat

https://www.dinancars.com/products/s...arts/D440-0153

https://www.millteksport.com/large-b...-ssxty118.html

Anyone have experience with these two products and care to comment? I know there's lots of options for different mods and everyone has their own opinion, but I'm hoping to confirm both these products are top tier and will work well together.

Will that DP work for non-UK/EU cars? I only saw an OPF variant listed.

Ok listen Miltek is a euro brand so they only go for the euro market for cars. DO NOT get any euro parts. Go VRSF catless with a 45 degree 02 spacer to not run a CEL 1/5 of the price and so much better. Better for the price

People seem to like the Active Autowerks DP if you're looking for catted.

I'm confused here. You post this advice, but then create your own thread about what DP to get a few hours later? Am I missing something here, or did you answer your own question before you even asked it? lol

I think that's the current situation for many, if not most, DP brands out there. The supply chain is hurting them and they just can't keep up with demand. A bit of a catch 22 situation at the moment.

Can't do catless - I don't want the obnoxious fumes and I'll need to pass inspection when the time comes.

Oh I like the obnoxious fumes lol. It'll probably take 3 years off my life but I love it. Besides catted downpipes cost too much. If u wanna go carted go active autowerk. Higher cost the car the long it'll last

I'm waiting to see the MST HFC drop. I'm guessing it'll be in the range of the AA downpipe:

I know exactly what you mean. Mine is finally broke in, so I did a few Dragy runs yesterday. Just nailing it gave a 4.2 sec 0-60, but when I used launch control, it ran a 3.7 0-60 !! So, yeah, the car is near perfect as is. Still, the mod-bug is a tenacious little critter, eh?
I'll probably do what you're considering, too, next Spring or Summer. For the next 6+ months I want to drive it hard to see if it breaks under warranty Sometimes I feel bad about that, except when I feel good about it !

I did my first launch control last week with my wife in the car and she nearly threw-up; said her stomach felt like it flew up into her throat. Made me promise never to do it again with her in the car.

Any car that can do that stock is near perfect!

Aha, the Wife-Launch! I will be doing that this weekend, and expect the same result as you got, possibly with some added profanity, and she rarely does that
