So, the base 230i comes with black rocker panels now?
So...
I currently have a 230i (non M-Sport) on order. In anticipation for delivery, I somewhat regularly check new car listings for any examples of my soon to be 230i. From what I've seen though, it looks like the non M-Sport versions are also coming with the rocker panels in black now (instead of body color). A) https://www.bmwofmilwaukeenorth.com/...ource=cars.com B) https://www.herbchambersbmw.com/new/...ource=cars.com C) Kinda hard to see with thundernight, but it looks like the door & rocker panel are two different colors. https://www.peterpanbmw.com/inventor...3cm09p8c81403/ I don't know if this is just a factory error or the new design language going forward. I've already come to terms with the mixed-match interior trim, but if this is also something to look forward to, I might have to rethink some things lol. |

I've seen the 230i in Milwaukee (same dealer that I am buying my 240 from) - first thing I pointed out to my CA when I saw it was the rockers. I assumed it must have had m-sport, but to my surprise it's does not. Not sure what the deal is...?

The extended shadowline package will add the black rocker panels much the way the "M Sport" design package does.
Edit: I was wrong

You're right. I take back what I said. I could have sworn I just added the extended shadow line package without the full shadow line package, but trying again it adds both (with the M sport bumper). Weird indeed.
