Financing Options

Back in April when I ordered my car I was pre-approved for financing through BMW Financial. At that time the rate was 2.99% for 36 months.

I was also told that they would lock in that rate. A lot has changed since then in terms of interest rates.

Has anyone locked in their rate lately and what is the going rate now?

Since my car will be arriving next week I would like to explore all options before making a deal with BMW.

I don't think the hold lasts that long, I did the same and ended up with I think 4.25 @ 72 mos with BMW financial, and I have good credit. Going to refinance when/if things improve

ask your dealer to see if they can help talk to BMW. I "locked" in my rate at 1.9% in January and my dealer spoke to BMW (or whoever) and they honored that rate when I got the car in July.

Very similar situation as @ryo- explained.
Ordered car in January, locked financing at 1.9% rate with BMW FS and picked up car in April with no rate changes (regardless of the fact that BMW financial services already raised it by then up to 2.9%). Your dealer likely will be able to help you and negotiate necessary details and terms with BMW FS.

Negotiate it, especially if there was promise of rate lock or delays by BMW. The dealer can buy down the rate.

I know it's the same question again

I know it's the same question again.
But it seems this answer changes with current market/finance/interest rate changes.
So asking what are you getting with your recent purchase.
Lease payment with down payment, length, miles.
Or BMW interest rate offered at time of purchase.
Can't decide what is best route for the current financial enviroment.

Will drive as 3rd car so low miles and may only keep a couple years ?

Picking up my car this morning

Final financing rate is now 4.5%. But the dealer gave me a $500 rebate on the car. I was disappointed loosing the 2.99% rate especially when it was supposed to be a rate lock but the rebate almost covers the difference.
