You don't mention whether it's a CA or non-CA key.
Regardless, reprogramming should not be required for a simple battery replacement. If you have CA keys, try putting one in the slot and starting the car that way. Then see if it works. If it won't work, put it in the slot and hold down the START/STOP button and see if it eventually turns over. Then once you've successfully started the car, try the key out again for regular lock/unlock functions. (I could be wrong about not needing to reprogram, but I haven't heard this.) If it's a non-CA key, then the process has many opportunities for error, so you'll need to describe what you've done.

No to the fob reprogramming after battery replacement.
If both fobs are not working it's probably not the Fobs. more likely the diversity antenna to connection to it. Is that how it started out with both Fobs not working? Easy to knock small components off when replacing the rechargeable battery . All Fobs have a trandponder that will work when the Fob is inserted in the Dash slot. Even with a dead battery. |
