Reminder and maybe first time knowledge for many
BMW is having a 50th M anniversary event at the BMW performance center in Greer, South Carolina this weekend. The G87 will be on display. The car will also be on display at the BMW CCA headquarters Sunday morning for cars and coffee until 11 AM. Tickets for the Performance Center event are $35.

How does one find out where the G87 will be on display? I'd love to take a look but not sure it is coming to my area.

Dammit, I don't think I can squeeze this in on such short notice. (Short notice on my part, I'm the one that didn't pay attention to these announcements, and I did get them in email.)

Bump. FYI, if you are within 3-4 hours of Spartanburg County, more specifically Greer, South Carolina then you should consider making the trip for this event. More than likely this will be your only opportunity to see a G87 in person prior to taking delivery, especially for early deposit holders.

Ditto bump. This M event will have many vintage and recent BMW cars on the track and on display as well as the new M2. The afternoon 12-5 pm event is only $35, food trucks will be there as well. Next door the ultimate driving museum with cars on display is part of admission. I am fortunate to be only 87 miles a way, so a very easy journey. It will be good to be back at the Performance Center after picking up my M240ix in April. Should be a great time.

I have read conflicting information about that. First I read Friday and Monday, then I read that it would be open 2-5pm on Saturday during the M fest. I also heard that parking would be open at the foundation and a shuttle to the Performance Center. Oh well.

Thanks TUD, that certainly answers the question; straight from the source. The previous information about Saturday 2-5pm either changed or was incorrect. The M fest ticket to include the museum on Friday and Monday is not much use to most people that are only attending the Saturday event. Now I question the parking and shuttle information. Any ways, Saturday will be a great event at the Performance Center.
