Here are some pictures of the G87 M2 in the paddock area of the BMW Performance Center during the 50 years of M Festival. It was very hard to get some decent pictures of the car since it was parked against a wall in half sun light, half shadows. That was frustrating, but finally they moved the car through the paddock area onto the track at the end of the event. I could not get many still shots in the direct sun light, because it was on the move. None the less, I think a few of these pictures show the real colors of the Zandvoort Blue. Believe me, the hues are constantly changing and hard to catch with varying amounts of sun light and shadows. I am biased, but I really think this color is unique and looks great in real life.

Love the car! As for the color... I can't stop thinking it looks like a handbag color like this

Got to see in person as well as ZB just didn't cut it for me. I personally didn't think the car looked that different in person vs the pictures we've all seen.

Having said that, the G87 was parked next to all these legendary race cars as well as some absolutely mint older Ms so that didn't help grab my attention. IMHO, there's no question to me the F87 is visually the better looking car.

Well, I am pretty low keyed and takes a lot to get me super excited. My first impression was pretty much as expected but not to over use a phrase “it looks great in real life” and I am fortunate to get to see it and sit in the car. It reminds me the first time I saw my G42 M240ix in Portimao Blue at the Performance Center for delivery. Wow that color was awesome in real life and I was very happy. Similar situation here with the G87 M2 in Zandvoort Blue. I think the car looks great and has a unique presence and is not like all the rest of the cars out there.

I like it, but then again, I am a big fan of the G42 M240ix. I don’t care what other people think or like. A guy walked up to me and said ugly things and I just looked into his eyes and said “I like and I am getting one”. He just walked away. The BMW attendants would not open the hood to let us look into it, stating it is a pre-production unit and can’t show it. I think we discovered this M2 was built in March this year.

The BMW fans are a very fickle bunch and I don’t expect everybody to like the car, but I do. I think this car is going to be a hit when you consider the performance, unique looks and a realistic price point.

How were the seats re: ingress/egress?

Interesting picture of the front wheel caliper. It looks like duct tape covering some lettering. Probably production models will have different insignia.

Nah, I don't like this color at all. Looks like a smurf's car. Kinda feminine too. We should've gotten a proper blue, something mid tone like Monte Carlo Blue used to be on the E9x M3s.

I have been driving my buddies new M4 and it is the same dance and a pain getting in and out. No different here with this car, although these rocker panels are a little more pronounced. Definitely will need some PPF there.

My friend lives daily with these same carbon bucket seats and he said he would not have ordered them if he had a "do over".

I've been noticing in pictures it almost looks like the hood and front bumper don't blend very well…

Almost like an aftermarket hood was installed that just didn't fit exactly right.

There may be some sportcars that would be able to pull off ZB… M2 is not one of them.

It softens the whole look of the car. Makes the M2 look pedestrian. The M2 doesn’t have the lines to carry that color.

Note this is a pre-production model made awhile back. The BMW attendees made a comment and expect a better fit and finish from the final production models. That seems normal and expected.

Clearly you know nothing about racing heritage ranging back to the 60’s, where the pale blue’s dominated and were always associated with full fledged race cars. Even current F1 cars (Gulf McLaren livery in Monaco).
