EURO PPF Exhaust modifications
Good morning
I'm looking at modifying the exhaust for my M240i, and was initially looking to only modify the tips for aesthetic purposes, however having owned an M140i with resonator deletes, I'm curious as to how far I can take the car before I start throwing up CEL's or making the car not road legal. It's a UK spec M240i, and I'm after a bit more noise, has anyone removed a resonator but left the PPF in? Can the backbox be modified in any way? Any input or experience would me much appreciated. Thanks Matt |

In our (AC Schnitzer UK) experience you can change the rear silencer on all OPF cars. How much further forward you can go then depends on where the filters and the pre and post sensors are located, and how much the flow would be affected by changing the components. They are very sensitive to flow, as one influencer found out on a trip to Spain in an M2.
This is what we fit to the M240ix with OPF. No light and no mapping required, fully legal. Last edited by Lorcan; 12-08-2022 at 08:09 AM.. |
