Samsung s22 ultra not working with digital key.

Not sure if I'm unique in my issue but digital key flat out refuses to go into setup on my phone, using myBMW app.
Something tells me that it's a matter of BMW ticking the right box on the backend. I see it clearly stated on the website that s21 works.
Anyone having same issue?

As silly as it is, I believe that the s21 is the oinly Samsung compatible with the digital key function. The big thing is the s21 has ultra wide band support while the base s22 does not. (the plus and ultra do, so support may come in the future)

UWB is not for digital key, its for digital key plus. NFC is digital key.

I have the S22 Ultra and digital key works just fine.

Have Galaxy Note 20 Ultra running Android 12. I was able to add the digital key on my Samsung account. Key shows up in the NFC section but cannot be used as a key. I have not tried to see if I can share the digital key.

That's very strange... I guess I'm going to keep poking around, I can't think of anything that can prevent this from working then...

I have s22+ with UWB support required to use my phone as a key but it seems I also need to have option of Comfort Access on the car to have this working. Now the mystery "why the digital key option to install it on my phone and BMW was not showing in myBMW app" is solved...
If I have had comfort access I would have had the option to setup this on my S22+ and should have it worked as intended.

It says on digital key BMW page that Canada may work differently...
I have comfort access, and it is def not working, googling it seems there are lots of people specifically with s22 having this issue in Canada, US used to not work but then BMW did something to allow it.
I'll set it up on my girlfriend's iPhone tonight to make sure I'm not an idiot and the package is there, I do have the card so I believe it should work.

I believe for you , because you also have the needed Comfort access, maybe your issue is with your s22 not having the ultra wide band chip, like the s22+ and s22 ultra?
Did you try like in this setup video, having both your keys inside the car and then testing if you can see the "BMW Digital Key" option in your myBMW app ? around min 0:30 of the video it shows how to setup it.

So I guess the only option left is to talk to dealership so they can work with BMW Canada to add this option to your BMW ID in your myBMW app so you can set it up.
Because your s22 Ultra ( sorry I mistakenly thought before you have a s22 ) should definitely be compatible with the new digital key feature of BMW in idrive 8s and its either BMW Canada should activate this for your BMW ID or BMW didnt globally start this feature yet on all s22 Ultras ?
