2022 vs 2023 build cost comparison
Hey all,
Since I have a 2022 and with changes that came in 2023, I was curious what the cost to build the same spec would be so I figured I'd share what I came up with. All in CAD before pdi, taxes etc My 2022 spec: MSRP: $56,950 M Sport Pro Pkg: $2500 Adaptive Suspension: $750 Adaptive headlights: $500 Digital Cockpit: $1000 Port Blue: $895 Black w/ blue stitching: $1500 Total: $64,095 2023 spec: MSRP: $58,950.00 M Enchanced Track Pkg: $3500 M Sport Pro: $1250 Adapive Headlights: $500 Port Blue: $895 Black w/ blue stitching: $1900 Total: $66,995 iDrive8: I was originally bummed when I heard this was a change after one year but after seeing it in other cars it feels very EVish and somewhat incomplete aesthetically. I personally prefer the traditional cockpit feel. M seat belts: There are no more M seat belts it appears which was included in the 2022 M Sport pro pkg. Calipers: It appears that you're forced to take red calipers with the 2023 m sport pro pkg whereas I naturally went with blue calipers with port blue paint.

I see for 2022 you have adaptive suspension listed as an option cost item but not in 2023, was it standard then in 2023 in Canada? Also a big difference in the Msport option with $1250 difference, why is that, are they different in what they include 2022 vs 2023? Also the 2023 has a enhanced track pkg but not in 2022? (is that what makes the 2022 M sport pro pkg in 2022 a higher cost item and replaces that item for 2023?)
Tough to figure out if we are comparing apples to apples. Perhaps adaptive suspension is part of the enhanced track pkg? |

Ok so for US reference. Its about $2500 more to spec my same car now vs what I ordered in 2019.
And thats not taking into consideration the difference in APR rates and residual values. So they are considerably more expensive right now if you aren't buying all cash. |

I originally thought I was getting a 2022 but got moved to a 2023 and I remember comparing and I actually believe my same spec was a little cheaper with the lowering of the price of a few options. I'd have to refer back to the 2022 ordering guide to verify as it was long ago.

The two builds are identical outside of the red calipers, idrive8 and the lack of m seat belts. 2022 m sport pkg $2500: m seat belts blacked out exterior contents shadowline headlights (forces you to take the $500 adaptive headlight option) m tech pkg (897m rims, fender flares, wider rear tires, larger front brakes, improved drivetrain cooling, top speed limiter removed) 2023 m sport pkg $1250: blacked out exterior contents shadowline headlights (forces you to take the $500 adaptive headlight option) m sport pro (sprint mode) red calipers 2023 enhanced pkg $3500: m tech pkg (897m rims, fender flares, wider rear tires, larger front brakes, improved drivetrain cooling, top speed limiter removed) adaptive suspension
