It’d be terrific if BimmerCode would update their iOS app to support the G42.

I get it… they don’t sell as many M240s as 3 series and SUVs. But it’s been a while now.

Remember that they are having accommodate iDrive 7 & iDrive 8, which must be adding complications

Idrive 8/ OS8 as BMW now refers to it, is currently not supported.
Tried coding auto start/stop memory function. Says active but doesn't work. I'm pretty sure it has to do with BMW now signing code changes. So we'll see how this goes.

Exactly. All you do is choose g20 and you can easily code everything on an idrive 7 g42.

If the g42 is so similar to the G20, then it shouldn't be that hard to "release an update" for the G42. Copy and paste, right?

Who knows? But I'd rather the software developers for the app were sure it was fully compatible before I use it on, what is, a very complex, interconnected, multiple computer system!
