BMS vs Dinan intake

Just curious what people are opting for here.
Was considering doing BMS with their braces and OCC.

They both do the same exact thing and add sound. So go with which ever one you think looks best.

I personally went with Dinan as it looks much nicer under the hood.

Both aren’t going to add any noticeable power on stock tune. It’s mainly for looks and sound. I prefer thr Dinan because of the carbon fiber lip and tube. Looks like the Dinan would be a bit louder and a bit more R&D into it.

It depends on what you are looking for and your budget.

Power: Same, around 10 whp
Sound: both are louder than stock, BMS is slightly louder than Dinan
Looks: Dinan
Budget: BMS costs less

What about Dinan vs. Eventuri, ignoring cost?

There is no magic intake design where one will give 10hp and another 30hp. Intakes on this car is all about 99% sound.

I felt zero difference when installing the dinan and I it will be the same if installing the eventuri. The hp increase is so minimal across all intakes.

If you can stomach the price of the eventuri then go for it, but if someone installed both intakes without your knowing you would never be able to tell which one was installed without popping the hood and looking.

No power from intake in the car. I tested several runs in 1/4 and a couple 60-130 (using Dragy), and there is not even a slight suspicion of power gained.

(on an otherwise entirely stock car. With increased airflow from other modifications, it might start to show up.)

Hi,
Did someone tried removing silencer on the original intake?
Maybe it would be enough to get a better sound?

Yeah burger makes this https://burgertuning.com/products/in...40i-and-m340ix

It says its for a 340 but obviously the same. That and a drop in filter is probably a really good option the others are just a tad prettier / louder is all.

Is there a difference in terms of installation difficulty between the BMS and Dinan intakes?

Thanks.
