are all e90 undertrays the same?
I was driving down a road late one night and some jackass decided to drop some debris right in the middle of the road. Not too sure what it was but it felt like a rock. Long story short I look under my car about 3 days after and there is no engine splash cover, I checked for other damages and nothing seems out of the ordinary I have put in about 200km since the incident and it seems fine.
My question is, are the undertray's interchangeable? Like from 328 and 335? I found one on rockauto for $50 CAD but it says it only fits 328i, and I really don't want to have to pay for shipping and customs from FCP. Please let me know, The rest of the undertray pieces seem to still be in intact but I will be inspecting for any damages. Would it be alright to drive without an undertray? Or is it too risky? |

Regarding whether you can drive without one, the answer is yes. Some people have pretty strong opinions on this. My preference is to leave mine on.
No, they are not all the same. Can’t speak to 335 vs 328, but I do know that at a minimum, RWD and xDrive are different. Might be influenced by M-Sport as well, but not certain.

check your part number on realoem then X-reference to rock auto.
The fender liners and belly pans from the Taiwanese company come and go on rock auto. They aren't good about actually listing them by make and model but they usually include p/n's in the description fields.
