32 MPG?
The BMWUSA website claims that the 2023 M240i XDrive Coupe gets 32 MPG (see below excerpt and disclaimer). It does not say specifically, but I assume that is supposed to be a combined city/highway MPG figure. Is anyone getting 32 combined MPG on a '22 or '23 M240i XDrive?
My 2019 M240i XDrive got around 24 MPG combined. 32 MPG would be a stunning improvement. 2023 M240i xDrive Coupe 3.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder xDrive, intelligent all-wheel drive 382 HP 32 MPG* 4.1 sec 0-60 MPH *Preliminary EPA-estimated figures are for comparison purposes only. Your actual mileage will vary, depending on speed, driving habits, trip length and driving conditions; actual mileage may be lower. |

I just checked the window sticker. 32 MPG is stated to be highway. City is 23. Combined is 26. Interesting for BMW to say 32 on the website without clarifying that it is highway.

I'm getting 28mpg in mixed suburbs/highway driving with only COMFORT or ADAPTIVE mode on. Haven't tried ECO.

You need to have at least a few 1000 miles under your belt before starting to judge the mpg. My previous M140i average improved by over 5mpg after 2.5k to around 32mpg. and I could easily get over 40mpg at a constant 75 mph

673.3 miles under the belt @ 31.4 mpg overall average. This is all under varying driving modes, highway one way and city/smaller roads the other way.
Use of Comfort mode on highway is yielding almost 35 mpg @ 65-70 mph. The return trip usually in Eco Pro/Eco Individual is averaging less at 27.7 mpg @ ~20-25 mph average. Very impressed with the numbers! Invisiblename Good to know that these will improve over a little more time! Last edited by PP3121; 10-28-2022 at 07:27 AM.. |

5,500 miles so far and a reported 28.7 mpg in comfort mostly. Highway runs at 75-85mph gets me 35-36mpg. I haven't noticed any appreciable difference in Eco mode so don't use it any longer since it's more annoying than useful.
To me this is truly amazing. A nearly 400hp car getting that kind of fuel efficiency was the stuff of dreams 20 years ago. It's pretty equivalent to a Corolla we had in the 90's. And this car is probably 1000 lbs heavier and has all wheel drive. |

For 100% highway in eco you can get low 30's. And this means just a few fun/sport sessions.
I average around 26 mpg. When on the highway I always go eco, when cruising around/running errands I'll be in eco 75% of the time with some sport sessions mixed in. I don't beat on the car a lot but it guzzles gas when you have fun. In my experience at least. Regardless, I love the car, you can get the good fuel economy if you want it, the power doesn't come for free. |

I have never used it but it looks cool. I can definitely be OCD but I think I am going to give it a look. Thanks for the response!
