2023 Standard Headlights vs Premium?
Anyone here who didn’t opt for the premium package want to show how their standard headlights as i can’t really find many pics? Do you guys think the Premium Package is worth the upgrade?

I’d say the premium package is worth it. Heated seats and steering wheel, Adaptive LED headlights, HUD and sone other stuff for $1950.

+1 on premium. While I'm not sure how often heated seats/steering wheel are needed in LA, the adaptive LEDs with automatic high beams are quite good, and the universal opener is a nice throw in. Considering this was one of the few items that actually decreased in price vs 2022 (it was $800 more), I think it's a decent value.

You're already spending 50k on a car and you're buying a BMW, get the premium package. Everything it comes with is something people would expect to have if you end up selling it.

The LED's are amazing and worth the price alone.
Regarding some of the other features: I've turned the HUD off, as I find it more distracting than helpful; automatic high beams are turned off as I like the high beams on many times when the car thinks they should be off; and I think the turning headlights are a little too anxious to turn as the smallest input from the steering wheel is reflected hundreds of yards down the road and up in the trees. +1 on the package! Will never go back to a car without a heated steering wheel! I am NOT in LA!
Personally love the HUD. Wish it had the time info on it, though. Except for the universal garage door opener, use all the features daily. Think re-sale if you are not planning to keep for a while. |

interesting - I wondered why that was decreased when most everything else went up. Base price did go up $1350 - so they more than made up for it LOL

Do you have a picture? Standard equipment lists "LED Headlights". I'm half a mind that the option just makes them move. Just like the Live Cockpit Pro only adds the HUD on the 2023 model since iD8 is standard.

Just google it, they’re the same as 2022. They are very different and the base ones IMO look pretty lame.

So I took delivery today and they’re the adaptive headlights, lmao. Looks like they're standard now actually.

My '22 230i has the Premium Package 2; holy crap, I just looked at the sticker & forgot that it was $3,350. Plus the parking assistance/360º camera, plus HK sound.
No regrets. Now that for the first time , I drive a car with a heated steering wheel, I can't go back now. I've left the automatic brights/adaptive LEDs on; loved the brights auto on/off on the MINI I had previously & both are even better in the 230i. Had it since June & think of just one time I thought the brights stayed on too long for my liking with an approaching vehicle. |
