What did you do to your M2 today?

Exciting time ahead for all of us G87 enthusiast. None of us will have out cars until late Spring of 23, but I am sure lot of us are already planning for mods or other items which will be ready by the time we take delivery. I will edit out this post once we start seeing members receiving their cars.

Renewed my "G87" tag!

I'm probably not doing anything except PPF and ceramic coating. The car comes with everything I want for the most part.

I will be watching what IND comes up with, though. I love their work and if they come up with some stuff that grabs my attention, then I'll jump in.

For cosmetic if IND comes up with black or color matching rear ducts I will jump on those. Otherwise it will be just tint. However for sound I am debating either dual or single mid pipe, or the setup I have now, cat-less DP with mid-pipe mod as several of us early G80/82 adopters did.

Definitely plan on getting this thing early Spring…technically even late winter.

First mod will be PPF before it leaves the store.

I got my mods together, a cashiers check, my BMW driving gloves, RE sunglasses ready and ordered some Puma BMW 50th driving shoes. Went full hog on "BMW guy" dress code.

Edit: Ceramic coating wheels tonight

I thought it would be cool mementos to match the 50th badges. Don't forget my second son was born within a week of this car. Guess which one inherits it?

My first son will take the 991.1 I buy that was made his same year. Gotta plan for the future!

Anyone planning on running H&R lowering springs? I’m assuming that I can just order the ones for the G80/2.

That would be me...not sure I would use the same parts for G80/82. My friend knows the guys there really well, sales, tech and R&D. I will see what I can find out.

Keep me posted! I noticed that 97% of parts for sale on IND/AUTOID say M2/M3/M4 fitment for most things on the parts list.

You want your son to love you, not disown you.

I dont always trust things like that. These places need to do R&D to make sure it works.

I'm concerned about the same thing.

It would also be a major mistake from a chassis engineering perspective to make modifications, reduce weight, etc and not get a spring that matches the new weight and dynamics.

Given they already have a mishmash of G series cars in this platform, one may very well wind up purchasing something that makes things worse from a ride/handling perspective.

Unfortunately - that's why springs are last for me. I want a custom set to make sure it's the exact spec for each corner weight, and exact height I want.
