Hi Everyone,

I took delivery of my 2023 M240i yesterday! I honestly love the car so much, from the exterior to the interior to everything. I could stare at that car for hours upon hours and not get bored.

The car sounds great, the difference from comfort to sport plus in the exhaust is noticeable. There are pops and burbles which I love that are actually from the exhaust. It drives very smoothly even without the adaptive suspension and I have no back pain or complaints. Honestly glad I saved the money. The brakes are amazing they stop very smoothly. The tacora red on BG looks very nice in-person and all the black exterior contents contrast the BG very well.

Now, let's talk about ID8. Firstly, I love the animation and sound when you first get into the car it's looks very nice and futuristic. I like the interface as well, only took me about 5-10 minutes to know where everything is. I also like the customization freedom with the system. There are only two things which I dislike but are not deal breakers include having to go into the climate menu, and sometimes the ID8 will lag when exiting a menu. Other than that I love the interface and the screen real estate.

Also, that whole parking assistant plus EOP I don't think that was true as my car has the parking assistant plus package. I ordered every option on my car except adaptive suspension and M Track Package and I got everything, nothing was taken off, I even got my wireless charger.

I will share some nice properly taken photos on Thursday on this thread when I am back home, so look out for those if you want to see it. Still very thankful and happy that it came in only two months. Can't wait for the road ahead!

Not a big deal, as I said I like the standard M suspension and I'm glad I didn't spend the extra money, of course it would've been nice if it was standard.

How do I post a video? I took one of my exhaust, but I cannot attach it.

I don't think you can upload a video directly. You need to upload to a site (e.g. YouTube) and post the link.

There is a file size limit to what you can attach.

Perhaps others may know a different method?

I have attached some photos of the car, and an exhaust clip which I just uploaded to YouTube. Sorry I don't have any interior pictures, I will take some later today.

I actually don't mind the stock placement of license plate. Although I will use sly bracket or tow hook.

I was going to do a side mounted plate but the dealer recommended middle and I think he was right. This is because it looks for uniform with the badge, grill, and power dome, I think it sits very nicely in the middle.

Very nice! Do you know if you can select the main driver side screen to always show tire pressure at all times? Also can the HUD show RPM and current gear?

When you say driver screen I'm assuming you're talking about the one which shows speed and rpm. If so, I do not think it can show the tire pressure at all times or at all. But….. if you open the live vehicle menu on the big
(middle screen where the map is) then click tire pressure it can remain on that screen as you drive and it will show tire pressure and tire temp.

What do you mean by HUD?

Correct, by driver screen I mean the screen immediately in front of the steering wheel. Interesting, that’s good that at least you can see the tire pressure and have it up on the right side screen.

HUD = heads up display.

Ok so as for the HUD you can select the "sport view" option this will show two bars side by side and they will go up and down as the rpm goes up and down, there is no actual number. I'll attach a photo once I'm in the car again. As for gear I do not believe it shows it. I have mine set to sport view and all I can see is my speed, the speed limit sign, and those two bars I mentioned.

In comparison to your old m235i GC what are the obvious differences. Unfortunately no new m240 available at the market when I was buying so settling with m235i GC from BMW toronto.
I was also worrying the m240 would have so much less space trunk and back seat folding as I usually need space for a bike back there.

I actually had a 228i GC, if I had the M235i I probably wouldn't have upgraded but I'm glad I did. So the differences from a 228i to a M240i were huge. For example, the thick M steering wheel, the rear coupè feeling, the power, seat positioning, iDrive, almost everything. My 228i was a base model so it really didn't have much and now having a pretty much fully loaded M240i it's been a huge improvement. I honestly love everything about it, the car is perfect. Shout out to Policaro BMW they really know what they are doing and have great customer service. They took very good care of me, I only waited 2 months for a 2023 car in today's market.

Ah got it. Yes m235 has the power for sure but it's more of pulling power as the front pulls. Versus pushing power which comes from the back. I have been driving either AWD or rear wheel drive cars and this front wheel pull is a bit odd.
I should have paid more attention but only had a short window (1day) to test drive to take advantage of the sale. Now having it for a week I'm not sure I made the right decision. Mind you no other cars in that range available. I also wanted to try the 2023 S3 but no one had a car to test drive within the 1 day before sales incentive. How do you find rear seat space and trunk in comparison to your new car. The 228 and 235 should have same body style/size.

Yes the 228i and M235i both have the same trunk space. The M240i trunk space is pretty good I don't feel as if I'm missing a lot of it and you can pack things pretty high in the M240i. So I don't think it's that big of a deal/difference. The 228i trunk space was good and I did like it but the M240i has enough that I don't even notice that I lost some.
