Will we see an aftermarket shift knob to replace the new lever?
What do you guys think are the chances of seeing an aftermarket shift nob developed to replace the new "shift lever" on the '23 models?
I was watching a YouTube video of a BMW dealer doing a walkaround of the M240i and he casually mentioned that he "wouldn't be surprised" if we see one eventually... Last edited by StepMassive; 11-03-2022 at 05:28 PM.. |

Seems like it would be a PITA to do. Better idea would be to retrofit a '22 shifter.

There's some people on G20 forum that change it in both ways, pre-LCI to LCI and LCI to pre-LCI
It's almost plug and play, the hard thing is search a cheap one with the same options as lever and option buttons/sport mode buttons are one piece, the idrive controller and buttons can be re-used. Regarding aftermarket, maybe some company will do some kind of toggle extension to something similar to porsche pdk selector. |
