Door Projector Pics

The kit came with both slide themes and couldn't decide which I wanted, so used both. There's another package from BMW that includes 3 different slide themes for around $50 but doubt I'll bother.

I had no idea what to expect when I went to my dealership to pick up the kit, and honestly thought it would be something like a rectangle negative that just inserts into the light housing for maybe $15. I was surprised at what it actually consisted of for $170, but it's definitely a quality piece of engineering!

Garage List
Looks great! Based on the pictures, was it pretty much a plug and play type of installation?

That looks great. The other kit has the Jahre logo. BTW is that Racedeck in your garage? Easy install?

Yes, plug & play. Just follow the instructions regarding the wiring harness coming from the back of the door vs. the front of the door, and turn the dial on the projector to the proper + or O respective of the right or left doors.

I don't think it's the Racedeck brand, but probably the same thing. If you can put together a jigsaw puzzle with only square pieces you should be fine. I used a big table saw at my dad's wood workshop to cut the pieces along the two walls where full size pieces wouldn't fit, so that made it a lot easier than using a razorblade.

Only things I don't like is performance tires (e.g. Michelin PS4S) will leave stains where the car is parked (even states this in the literature), and if using floor jacks (especially 4) and the car shifts slightly as each corner is raised the tiles will buckle since the rollers on the jacks sort of sink into the rubber tiles. I'll probably resort to saving that task for the driveway, which isn't too big of a deal.

Gotcha. Maybe I'll avoid the light colors. I like the table saw idea for a straight fit.
