2011 BMW 328i E90 Head Unit Install

I just purchased a 2011 BMW 328i E90, which unfortunately came without a Hand Unit and all of the Wires / cables were cut. After calling around I purchased a used Harman/Becker CIC Navigation Head Unit 6512 CI 922863. The rear of the unit has 3 Coax Style Cable (Pink, White, Orange) on the Right Side and 3 Coax Style cables along the bottom (Blue, Pink & Black) Being that all of the cables were cut , with the exception of the Pink Cable that goes directly to the Display Screen on he Dash, I have no idea how where the other 5 Cables are connected to on the car and/or on the Head Unit. I am brand new to this site so excuse me if I'm not very good at this. I would greatly appreciate any technical assistance , suggestions, advise, photos, wiring diagrams etc that anyone can provide me.

You will have a hard time sorting out the mess you describe might be better to source a new harness.
You will also have to program any new unit you put in.
And does it have the factory amp still in . (and which one)

The single cables are usually antenna's or the aux for the head unit.

If you are able, go to a junkyard and get the car side harness cut with the connectors and enough wire to repair your harness. Take pictures before cutting.
The follow the links above to know what goes where.

There is not much in the way of wiring diagrams.
What there was is Block Diagrams with color codes of the
wiring coming of the connectors on the modules.
This used to be available on a tech info site that BMW does not
allow access to . So now you need a working copy of Ista D or
the shop manual .
Ista D is highly recommended as it gives you a technical data base
and guided troubleshooting all procedures adjustments pictures
and diagrams.

Thank you Eljay & Ctuna for your assistance, which I greatly appreciate! Thus far I've been able to 2 of the 6 Cables, the Pink Harness Pigtail Connector connects to the Display Screen, the White Pigtail Harness Connector just below Connects to the Aux. / USB , the Smaller Single Pin Pink Connector I believe is for Satellite, which I'm not sure that I have? I found an experienced BMW Audio Specialist who can repair the two Cut Optical Cables, and all Head Unit Connections once I'm able to confirm where the other 3 the Pigtail Style Connectors ( Blue,Black,Orange) connect, otherwise he will have to dismantle the dash and run a whole new wiring harness which will run me over $3,000. I'm not sure how to attach pictures of the Unit and of all of the cut wires via this site but I can cend them to anyone that may be able to help me via email. My email is Raul.Estrada@elcentrodeayuda.org Thank You !!

You should put up pictures of what you are talking about .
There should be pictures of that stuff on the idrive and maybe stereo sub forum.
Fiber optic cables are not that expensive and shouldn't be that hard
to route.

Connectors for the back of the idrive and single cables are color coded.

Great advice Ctuna, I just posted 3 Pictures 1. Front View of CIC Unit 2. Rear Vie of CIC Unit showing all of the color coded HSD Connections 3. Picture of the Cut Optic Fiber, HSD Connections & Wires that should connect that connect to the CIC Head Unit. Unfortunately being that the Color Coded HSD Connection Heads were cut off , I'm now having to figure out where the 6 HSD Connections connect, which I've now identified that the Pink connects directly from the Head Unit to the Navigation Screen, the White Connects to the AUX/USB thats in the Glove Compartment. Once I know where the Orange , Black, Blue & Single Pin Pink Connect I can try to trace the signal then Reconnect the GSD Connections and Connect the CIC Head Unit. Nicko 43 has been a big help as well. Thank you one & all for all your help in what is usually a simple Pug & Play.

The pictures should be posted here.
And they aren't .

Go to advanced option and select and download easier from
a PC at least for me or attach phone to pc.

The second picture is where he had subtituted and aftermarket amp where the
Logic 7 amp exist behind the rear wheel well.
If you choose to put a Logic 7 system in the wires should all be color coded and
I would just get a new fiberoptic cable that runs to the Most Hub behind the driver side
rear seat bolster in anything but convertible.

The Head unit is mostly antenna cables and cables that would run to
the TCU, Mulf2 Hi , Sat module or combox depending on the way the car was configured.

Can't exactly tell what's going on with Head unit main black connector.
A lot of stuff comes through that and it comes out with a single throw switch.
I wonder if he left the main connector in the Dash.
What kind of wiring mess exists in there now .

Depending on what you want to do some of the single cable's may not even be necessary.

the above will at least give you and idea of what the head unit signals are and how the main
connector fits n for the head unit.
