This is the strangest thing I've ever come across in a BMW Owner's Manual. They are basically providing a warning to those that have tuned their M2 that if you install the software upgrade some settings will be lost. I guess they're mentioning it because the second bullet point seems to indicate that something like an ECU tune for instance could cause "an interruption of the installation" which in theory could brick one or more of the cars controllers.

Would be easier to ask the g80 forums. Those with 2023 model have the same iDrive as g87

Sure does. Exactly why I can't decide on the HUD.

Pretty cool actually although they are larger on the HUD. (the shift lights)

why don´t you use the manual app (QR Code on the back of the manual)- app is customized to your car ( only works when you have a vin ..)

Anyone know at what stage in the building/sitting on the dock of the bay/shipping process you’re able to download the Manual? I’m in Final Assembly and supposedly it’s been handed off the sales but I still get an Error Code 1021 when attempting to download. An obscure question considering we have access to the manual but I’m curious nonetheless.

Well, I was able to download the Manual today, so it’s possible to access it shortly after the handover to Sales during Final Assembly.

Question, I didn’t think the G87 was available with manual seats. This is suggesting otherwise. Anyone have supporting evidence for non-electric seats existing in the real world?

That just looks like generic information in the manual in case the option was ever included, as the diagrams are not of the interior of a 2-series, looks more like that of a 3-series from the head restraint adjustment diagram.

Can any M2 owners download the videos (animations) in the BMW Drivers Guide? It gives me an error, yet I can download the i4 videos and X1 videos. The M2 also has a way more limited list of features to access.

I was only able to view the Distance Control video but the rest throw a 404 error. They all appear to be generic videos that show what looks like a 4 series in the animations.

The one intriguing thing however is under the M2 they have a video on xDrive.
