How does this usually work for us with first allocations and port installed options? Any precedent set with the G8X guys that had early allocations?

I would like to bundle some carbon and m performance stuff with the financing of the car.

Will this be possible at launch?

Hopefully, considering these cars won't be arriving until March/April. Good thing about port installed parts is they can be added even after the car has completed production.

Port installed parts are also covered under the cars full 4yr/50k warranty vs getting it installed at the dealer which is only 1yr. Delaeres also like to charge you for the install whereas getting port installed cost you $0.

Agree, a lot of advantages to this. Would love to see available options and prices soon.

There's good and bad to it. With the G80/G82, some cars were stopped at the VPC for things like this. Most of those stop sales were only a few days but there were people stuck there weeks. There's no visibility into the process.

The flipside, whatever is removed is kept. Believe it or not some individuals prefer to have the factory installed part(s) returned to them.

You're 100% right.

I have an M340 that's waiting for MPE that was supposed to be delivered on 11/15. No idea when it'll be in.

M Performance parts installed a the port are also a great option for leasing. You are paying for parts minus installation minus residual of that part. You only pay for a fraction. But, there probably won't be many people leasing this car.

New guy here as well, and first time ordering a car. I think the dealer would reach out when the allocations come in
