I recently picked up my G82 M4 with a 6MT, loving it so far. If you see me at Alice's or other spots, say hi! The shifter is standard BMW, and steering road feedback is surprisingly good for a stock car, comparable to my M2 CS(no longer in my possession); comfort vs. sport seems to affect more than just the weighting as far as steering compared to the F8x gen cars, which were just weighting I felt, nothing else. body control is also excellent. The brake feel from the CCBs is excellent and easy to modulate; when I drove M-compound felt a bit over-boosted for my taste. The steering feels very much like my E46 M3 with the non-ZCP rack; M3 loads a little better, but G82 surprisingly has more clarity in the road feel, even with my M3 on MCS, etc. Planning on doing fall-line mono-balls, KW V4, and an autotecknic grille + some SPL parts. Excellent car so far, though.[IMG][/IMG]

Congrats and welcome aboard! Lovely cars you have there. Just drove by that 76 on my way up 9 last weekend, shortly before getting stuck behind a crawling Subaru most of the way up

Nice taste in cars! I considered both the E46 M3 and M2 CS before settling on my G80. The price that EAG wanted for a pristine 2004 E46 6mt slicktop was almost exactly the same price as my G80. It's the only gen that I'll always turn my head for.

Welcome to the G8X forums! I've been contemplating a E46 M3 or F87 M2C as a secondary car. Seeing as you have had both, what is your opinion on either combination?

Compared to the G8X, will the E46 seem slow, or is it enough of an old school driver's car to distinguish itself and a good example of driving a slower car fast being more fun.

Is the M2C too similar as a modern BMW? Keep in mind my G82 is an auto, and the M2C will be a 6MT.

Another Tanzi in the bay area! Love to see it. Feel free to say hi if you see me around. Reasonably sure I'm the only Tanzi / Tartufo combo anywhere near here, though I've seen a couple with KO and Silverstone or black.
