Need a cool gift suggestion for a 5 y.o. kid

My nephew's kid. Been buying him cool stuff every year for Xmas, but this year is tricky because he now has a 15 month old little brother, so anything with small parts is out. Cost is not an issue. I just need that cool factor.

Those are cool, but I don't think they'd fly with his parents. His dad has mentioned to me several times about how fast some morons go blasting though the neighborhood streets where he lives. He has a neat little bike, but they always take him to a park to ride it. It's sad that some people are too stupid or inconsiderate to realize why racing around neighborhood streets is unacceptable.

Just get him an iPhone. All the kids have now anyway lol. Just kidding.

I'd go with a remote controlled car too as previously mentioned. My son loves his and has about six of them.

Was about to give advice, but then remembered that I'm deeply uncool. Good luck!

My five-year-old grandson loved this:

https://www.amazon.com/Hot-Wheels-Cr...NsaWNrPXRydWU=

This was another big hit:

https://www.amazon.com/Hot-Wheels-Su...2-8997e41410bb

I've made it a tradition to give my grandsons a new Hot Wheels car every time they come visit. I keep a stash on hand and let them choose a new car. At three years old, my oldest grandson was already able to rattle off several specific car names.

Magnatiles! My family loved them (until my kids got phones) and just bought them for our 4 year old Nephew. We had a very large amount of them and were able to build lots of cool things. We had the regular, black, glow-in-the-dark and more. It is the only toy that everyone even enjoyed cleaning up because of how they snap together.

This was a cool project

Get him a Beta fish. You can buy a small tank for $60 or so. I had one that lived for over a year

Got those for him last year. He loves them. So does his Dad. Maybe I should buy more so they can build bigger stuff.

His father was heavily into Legos as a kid, so there is no shortage of them in the house.

I grew up about 3 miles from there. Really odd outfit...wouldn't give them any money, even though the area of land is now basically a nature reserve.
