Any chance you'd want to duplicate that run with your xHP transmission tune set to OEM (assume that's an option of the xHP?)?

Yes I can I will do that in a couple weeks Im out of town for the holidays. I assume you want to see if xhp is worth it. It’s worth it alone just to hear the ignition cut upshifts which make it sound like a 2020 m340.

Yeah, that's a good time for a car that has no engine tune at all, just the stated mods. Plus not-so-good street condition.

I went back to check about a tune as well. Pretty impressive.

Yes very pleased with the performance of the new m240. I have a jb4 box but took it out for winter and will put it back during the summer.

How do you like the shifting in Sport and Comfort compared to OEM?

Did Sport get too hard and Comfort too soft?

Not at all. The comfort is not too slow but very smooth and the sport is aggressive when wide open but nothing like a clunky dual clutch at slow speed

Am I the only one that doesn't really care for the upshift "farts?" I'd rather have more audible downshift burbles. But to each their own.

I barely notice the farts, but I'm sure it will get more pronounced once I get around to throwing the downpipe on.

And yes, much prefer downshift burbles.

Much better than having boring silent shifts. And the downshift burbles don’t exist unless u have catless and there still quiet.

So far I'm enjoying the xHP trans flash. I feel it's overpriced by at least $100, but it's a quality product.

I dunno man, I can get mine to burble hard without a DP at all. I just let off the gas right when I shift (down or up), and she sings for me. I assume the fart noises are being produced b/c spark is cut during the upshift, then causing the unburned fuel and air mixture to be pushed out the hot exhaust, which then ignites it.

I have been wondering what caused this! This explanation makes a lot of sense in my (relatively uneducated) opinion.

If it is unburned fuel igniting in the exhaust wouldn't we been seeing flames?
