If you plan on modifying and racing RWD cars at stop lights, might be better off to remove it Quick AWD cars seem to cause a significant percentage of loud mustangs and vettes to suddenly realize that they need to turn at this intersection, when you just happened to catch a light next to them, after rev'ing and taunting you for 2 miles in traffic. At least, this is the experience in my GTR. Those cars usually cant hook from a dig on unprepped surfaces, so even if they are majorly faster than you, they cant win that race.

Lets be honest, most car enthusiasts will know what kind of car you have. The XDrive logo isn't going to change their opinion. I wouldn't even bother racing an M240 in anything i've previously owned, no matter if it was RWD or AWD.
That being said, I'm having both badges removed because why not. If anything, I'd put on a black m240 badge and leave it at that. XDrive badge definitely lame. |

Street racers are paying attention to AWD or not just as much as they pay attention to what tire a potential RWD opponent is on, because it is a complete game changer on unprepped surfaces. Personally it was always one of the first things I looked for... does this car even have the grip to win regardless of its power? In a premeditated race, its one of the factors they will argue about for a hour deciding on the terms of the race. In a casual anonymous stop light race, some people ease up... but hilariously many people still take it extremely seriously and will only race in complete confidence that they will win. My original reply was sort of half joking, because I dont think the M240i is really shaping up to be a big street racer platform anyway... Im guessing most auto enthusiasts will never really know much about them. I never even heard of them until I bought my X3M a few months back and started paying attention to BMWs.

Over here in the UK atleast you no longer get the X-Drive badge.
Also you can get a genuine gloss black badge for the M240i logo as seen attached. Part number is 51142472854 |

Yeah, my 2023 didn’t come with the xdrive badge. I have put a black m240i badge on and it goes nicely with the Portimao blue and black trims.

I personally like the xDrive badge and for sure will be leaving it on. Not lame at all, superior solution for 0-60 and traction.

If you're in PA, here is online store for BMW of Silver Springs listing for the black M240i badge. Probably the closest/cheapest I know of in your general area.

Custom painted black XDrive badge ordered from IND. Both going on tomorrow after I pick up the car. I have an XDrive, so I want it to say XDrive. I also want both badges to match. |

The M240i badge in black looks great, that black box'd x-drive... not so much.. You can't tell what it is unless very close up. I would personally remove it to be honest.
