APEX VS-5RS 19x9.5 +25 Square setup with 265/35/19
Just installed my new track setup. Couple things was being considered since we will use this car as a test bed for our new track suspension development, when; the ability to rotate wheels for even wear, and no modifications done to the fenders to fit the wheels.
Apex suggests 19x9 +25 w/ 265/35/19 tires for its square setup but I opted to take a gamble and try fitting their 19x9.5 +25 with Falken RT660 in 265/35/19 to get a better stance. Currently it’s lowers on MSS Adjustable Springs and stock alignment, and I haven’t had any issues with rubbing. Next week I will take it in for track alignment and corner balance so clearance and turning from Lock to Lock might change, so I’ll have to report back on that. Let me know what y’all think, any thought and suggestions are appreciated! |

Also, that caliper clearance is pretty tight! Likely not an issue but debris like rocks or something might get caught between the front caliper and spokes and scratch up both components. Maybe a small spacer like 3mm would build that margin back up if the front can support that change. Can we use your photos on our gallery thread/site? We'll tag your socials/link your site when sharing the images. -Tom

I wonder if this is because most people do not have the ZTK package with the 4mm fender flares, thus keeping the fitment for the majority a little safer? |

Alignment done
-1.5 degree front camber 0.09 toe -2.5 degree rear camber 0.15 toe Now the rear clears with no issues. The alignment also helped the car feel lighter compared to the stock settings. |

Once we do a bit more testing with the 9.5 ET25 as shown here, it'll go onto the guide with 265s but I want to check clearances on stock cars before trying it or recommending it to unsuspecting street customers looking for easy fitment. With 200TW tires that run as wide as the RT660s, the 9.5 is definitely a better width of wheel. Quote:

How did you go about getting the negative camber, have you installed top mounts (camber adjusters), also would you not prefer 18’s for the track set-up and leave the 19s for road.

I would have preferred 18inch wheels for the track but due to the lack of wheel choices in 5x112 we chose to go with 19inch. In addition, this car is no means a dedicated track car so putting 18inch wheels with 35 series tires on a relatively big car looks weird IMO 🙂 |

I did a thing....
Stradale Design Thanks for posting the specs and dialing in the fitment. I was initially going to go staggered, but after seeing this thread I changed my order. I would have initially went square but I wasn't sure about fitment and I didn't want to run spacers. Now rotating these wheels for track use now should be easy. 👍🏾 |
