So ive seen some posts about having to trigger remote start with the app twice because it wont work the first time. I used it today and it said the signal was successful the second time and it showed that my car was on and heating. However when I got into my car and said that the conditions were not met to start the car.
Im curious if turning it on with the keys works better with the keys in cold weather? Also is there a way to know if the battery is charged sufficiently so I can gauge whether the remote features will work? When im coasting or braking it says charging battery and im assuming they dont mean hybrid battery. I just didnt realize it used a different kind of battery. I read in the manual that short drives are not good for the battery, so im wondering since I work right around the corner from where I live that perhaps the battery isn’t able to fully charge? |

Try remote start after a longer drive. With cold, short drives don't give the alternator enough time to recharge battery. Using the key probably gets you the same result as the car decides if it will crank or not. Many big chain auto parts stores will test your battery if you don't want to get one yourself.

I use the app remote start a lot. When the first attempt is unsuccessful, I see that message. When the first attempt is, I do not see the message. I had chalked it up to the error from the first attempt not meeting the requirements, what ever those may be (I know what they are; I read them in the manual).
