DIY mounting BMW Umbrella to trunk panel
We don't have the fancy orange warning triangle kit mounted on our trunk panel in the US so I mounted an OEM BMW Umbrella (P/N 51-47-2-153-353) to the black plastic cover. Cheap and easy to revert back to stock if ever need to. Basically get 3 self tapping screws , measure carefully, drill 3 holes into the black plastic cover and use a punch tool to punch out 3 holes in the leather umbrella case. Easy to get to, very secure and takes up no space.

Interesting. Like your creativity and use of space.
![]() I also keep an umbrella in the car. I like full-sized umbrellas. Trying to find a way to secure it in the back seating area for easy access. I use to hang it from the back hanger I had installed behind the driver's seat in the Mini. Worked well. Does not quite fit the same in the G42. |
