This is obviously my first post here so I am hoping some of you can help me out. This afternoon I was driving on the freeway in my 2015 335i, I was just cruising at 70 MPH when all of a sudden I noticed the car would not accelerate past 70 it wanted to rev up but not go faster. I kept cruising on and noticed my speed was decreasing but it would not accelerate. The engine would not rev past 3,000 RPM. I got to my exit and stopped at the red light, the car was running fine no misfires or anything. Then I went to take off from the light and it would not go past 25 MPH and 3,000 RPM. It would sometimes try to shift but then almost jerk back down to the lower gear. I got it home and then noticed in park the car would not rev past 2,500 RPM and sounded like it was running rough. I then shut the car off and immediately started it back up, everything went back to normal for now, gets up and goes with no issue and revs like it should.

Has anyone else had a similar thing happen? Anyone have any idea what it could be? NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR MALFUNCTION came on at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BM3 tune(currently running the M2 stock power level map), MAD charge pipe, MAD intercooler, MST turbo inlet, FTP Boost pipe, Burger Motorsports intake, axle back muffler delete piping.

Coil packs and sparkplugs were changed at 78,820 miles

Check for fault codes would be the next step.

Itll have shadow codes, did you check for codes? Check the computer and the trans.
