n52 Manual Motor Vs Auto Motor.
Is there a difference? I'm currently looking for a motor for a 09 328i 6-SPD and it shows in Car-Part that there is a Difference between a Auto and Manual Motor. I Tried Cross Referencing parts numbers on RealOEM and No Luck. Anyone here come across this before? Thanks for your help in advance. Joe

The engines are the same, with the difference being the oil pan, flywheel, transmission itself, as well as some plumbing for transmission oil cooling, and radiator.
I just swapped the N52B25 engine with MT with N52B30 from an AT car. My oil pan, manual transmission, flywheel parts transplanted to the other engine without a problem. You should also be aware the N52 from 325i/330i (MY 2006 in US) have different calve covers and sensors that 2007+ N52 engines from 328i. |
