Prince Harry
Let me start by saying - I follow none of the drama intentionally regarding Prince Harry and his wife…. but they've crossed my radar via a body language expert panel I watch on youtube at times.
So evidently they live in the LA area and want nothing to do with the royal family and their royal traditions. While on one hand I commend the young man for following his heart and marrying who he believes is is his one and only - Megan Markle. On the other - what in the hell is he thinking? My family has some strong traditions regarding marriage - I also chose to follow my heart vs marrying into a family my parents had hoped for me to. But if I was literally in the royal family in England - I think I would have followed tradition. Anyway, sort of interesting. Just from a historical perspective of tradition and values. The whole idea of "royalty" is ridiculous and outdated by at least a century and more likely two. There is no need for such entities. Just a major waste of money and time. Not to mention the very premise of a "ruling family" is dangerous. I realize they no longer rule, per se, but such ideas still need to be consigned to the dustbin of history.
That said, I'm glad Harry chose to go his own way. I just wish he'd stop publicly justifying his decision every other month or so.

He is a traitor to his country & family, a hypocrite, a coward and an opportunist. Following your heart is one thing, but continually sticking a knife into his family with intentionally vague propositions, while continually espousing perpetual victimhood, especially while living in a Southern California compound and while making money of the drama he continues to perpetuate...fuck that guy. "Hey William...fuck you and Kate" and "they are such bullies" and "ball is in their court for reconciliation" just seems a tad contradictory.
I also find the notion of a royal family and bankrolling them by hardworking British citizens ludicrous, but tradition is tradition. |

I’m in the camp that I have no idea what is going on with it because I intentionally steer clear. But how is it, that someone who lives under a rock, somehow sees a new thing about them pop up once a week?

Curious if any of you guys have watched the Netflix series on them? My wife and I watched it to see what all the hubbub as about and I have to say I walked away with a new-found respect for the two. I found them to be pretty sincere. I think it's tough for us over here to understand and appreciate the power and influence of the tabloid press in the UK to completely fuck your life.
Harry didnt ask to be born into this, he clearly has a ton of grief and anger still around what happened to his mother, and he's doing the one thing he can do to try to lead a somewhat normal life. I cant hate on the two of them after watching that series. |

Ya that's an interesting perspective - particularly about how he lost his mother and the effects, only wanting to live a normal life as possible.

I don't really read too deep into their lives because we've got enough problems with the garbage in power here but Harry and Meghan are two gigantic cunts.
I see the point of view of both sides, regarding the royal family, in the UK but the royal family is 100000000000000x better than neo-marxism. |

I don't follow them closely but have seen and heard enough from her, and think I know just enough about women, to expect all this to end very badly for Harry one day.

The monarchy may be on the way out but will probably take another 100 years to get there. The tradition in the UK & to a lesser degree commonwealth countries is quite strong, clearly the Americans lost the taste for it and claimed their independence.
I see some value of the Monarchy with respect to values and tradition. It is expensive but as I understand it the Royal family and the ties to GB also generates a great deal of revenue via tourism etc. I frankly could care less what happens behind closed doors as long as no crimes are being committed, I suspect the Royals are as disfunctional and maybe more than average families. They live a very privileged life, and have an important roll to play, sure they didn't sign up for it and if they choose to leave that's fine. Where my problem lies is the public airing of the dirty laundry and now talking about his time in Afghanistan and the number of people he killed. This is all very bad form, I suspect MM has dragged him down this path and he happily followed. I suspect there will be a great deal of regret in his future. I have no interest in any of this circus. |

Read today one if the King of Thailand's children is in a coma. I guess royalty does interest me.
King (Prince) Charles is interesting the speech he gave to the public after the Queen's passing and the way he referred to his mother. The Queen and how she lived. Watching Kate handle her official business is great. With Harry it is sad. The wife comes from a messy family background so you would have thought she would loathe to create turmoil for her husband. Seems the Royals were prescient in figuring out the motives and drawbacks to a Meghan. |

Monarchy is dead, long live monarchy(?)
We have a new king since 2013. He's a moron, his wife(the so called queen) is from Argentina. Insert Meghan Never trusted Meghan tbh but anyway. Edit. Juliana(the king's grandma, RIP) was our queen from 1948-1980 she was so sweet (I remember, as a kid), her husband was from Germany and during WW2 he was going to get along with the Nazi occupants....and more scandals after WW2.. Anyway King George V from England and German Kaiser Wilhelm plus Russian Tsar Nicholas II were closely related, in a way they- amongst other things started- the Great War (WW1) : Cheers Robin

Harry stood up for his wife when the British press(particularly the right wing/murdoch media) were blasting her for every action (they have this double standards habit of painting all foreigners as bad/ brexit etc) No one else did stand up for them from his family.
He earns my respect. I watched the Netflix series. He does not come across as an idiot at all as painted in the media. |

I am no fan of having some other country's royal family in any news cycle that I peruse.
It should be said, however, that with the properties/holdings owned by the British royal family, and the tourism dollars that those properties/holdings generate, I am certain (looked up the numbers one time) that the British government receives more revenue from the Royal Family than it pays out. Basically, IIRC, the holdings of the family pay in to the government, and so much of that is paid back to the family. They also pay taxes and have for years... though... I think they are choosing how much to pay, but with all of the scrutiny they've been under in the last 15 years, I think they opted to pay enough to not have it be a "sticking point". At any rate, if the UK "subjects" (bwaahahaha) decide to kick the family to the side... without seizing an absolute crap-ton of their privately owned holdings, the family would be happier, wealthier, and ... in awesome shape. The British government would be short a hefty sum each year. Food for thought. |

I've generally been oblivious to anything related to the BRF but my wife watched the Netflix series so by association I watched the Netflix series.
My uneducated opinion is Harry has some baggage with his father Charles and by extension the Royal family and how it is administered. By marrying outside the circle of approved partners he essentially poked the royal bear. Harry and Megan then discovered managing royal functions, the media, and presumably a hostile family culture was a far heavier lift than either anticipated so they quit the "Firm". I imagine H&M could have purchased a nice condo in Santa Barbara and quietly lived out there lives raising boarder collies but instead, what we have here is the monetizing of what is at its center a father/son conflict.

BEFORE they got married i said several things
many of my friends and family members disagreed with me but time is proving me right. what is happening here is actually a case study of women to avoid (REGARDLESS OF HOW THEY LOOK) I SAID If I were a man of his standing, A Prince, I am NOT marrying a Divorced woman who is also OLDER than me. that is for LESSER status men. I am ALSO not marrying a woman who is COLD and CRUEL enough to not have a good relationship with her family members to the point of cutting them off completely. now, she is a MASTER MANIPULATOR and he is a FOOL. she Knew what the hell she was getting into, and when she dated him and saw what ROYAL life was like, she could have ended the relationship if she didn't like it. BUT she stayed around long enough to get married, have a CHILD (so she could permanently tie herself to him (and the ROYAL FAMILY), Then suddenly decide to leave. he then was placed in a position to be a tool for HER, or risk her abandoning him with HIS CHILD................so he ditched his family for her. IDIOT now she is making a TON of money off him. this will not end well, as she is ruining all family relations for him. then cometh the Divorce and little harry wont be able to find his way home........ STAY away from Women with dysfunctional family dynamics, no matter how pretty. the beauty faded but the dysfunction remains.. |

Okay, you all may disagree with me, but here goes. I was born and raised in Canada and pledged my allegiance to the Queen at a youthful age. I respect the Royal family, always have, and always will. Tradition has its place in today's society, without it we're merely vagabonds without purpose or direction. We need to know where we came from to understand where we need to go in the future. Now the interesting part. What in the Hell, was Harry thinking!! He could have any fine piece of ass in the World, the World!! Yet he chose some washed-up hoe who came from a broken family, who has a chip on her shoulder, and who feels like the World owes her for the color of her skin. Bull crap. Harry is a douche. He was a douche dating her and a greater douche for marrying her. Glad that HRM the Queen cut him off.
