m performance door pins

Has anyone installed the m performance door pins yet? I am having a hell of a time getting the stock ones out and just wondering if they pull out or screw out? Also did you use a special tool to get them out? Thanks!

I got them, they didn't pull out, so I think they just unscrew... Following.

I’m contemplating buying them. Looks like they should unscrew. Do they provide sticky tape to assist removal?

They do provide a little rubber band aid looking thing but the pins are so small it's hard to get a good grip on them. I tried pulling and unscrewing but was unsuccessful.

I have them.
They unscrew, try wrapping a cloth around them & use pliers.

Good to know. I'll give that a shot. They unscrew counter clockwise right?

So it looks like the factory pins are not threaded from those pics. They do look pretty cool but I don’t know if I can drop that much on door pins. Then again, I spent over 200 on carbon fiber door sills that I see for 5 seconds. Where’s my Getbmwparts password….

I have the pins, decided not to install them. I was disappointed with the quality also no protective film on the faces, lots of micro scatches from the factory.

I’ve had mine installed for about a month now. It was a PITA getting the stock ones out, had to use pliers and MF towel, unscrew counter clockwise. Roll down the window before wrenching on em

They look much nicer IMO. No scratching issues with mine so far

For anyone interested, just posted a video about them describing my experience with them:
