Yeah don't use Pacific man they mark up everything I got my G80 from them they wanted 20k mark up i walked away later it went down to 5k i needed a car bad so i paid that instead of waiting for 9 months but never again buying from them.

Most CSL buyers already have a nice 911, and/or other performance cars of similar or higher value. No need to play the "would you rather" game.

Pacific has never ever been able to match or beat any other socal dealer. I don't know how they manage to snag the fish to stay in business, but it's likely due to Glendale being a pretty wealthy area and a subculture of opulence and a pissing contest of who can display the most wealth being prevalent in the region. More money than brains, or so much money they don't care about calling more than one dealership to compare prices.

Next to Sterling BMW in OC, I had the worst experience with Pacific while looking for a G80 in 2021. The CA I spoke to (Frank Maharajh) couldn't be bothered to check whether they had available allocations just that they would be at least $10K over. When I asked if they were firm on the ADM he replied "Well here's the thing you have to understand, everyone wants an M3..."

Every Dealer in CA is probably at $50K over. Roseville is listed at $75K over but quickly dropped to $50K when I inquired.
There are better vehicle choices for $200K. IMO

I wouldn't say that Glendale in itself is a particularly/generally wealthy area. A lot of Glendale is still pretty run down. I get a lot of 'fake rich' vibes there. Do agree with the more money than brains part though.

Its a shock value post. Of course people will compare paying 200K for a M3 vs anything else in that price point. Seems totally normal to me.

Fair market value on the coasts is $25k+. A motivated dealer will negotiate those high ADM stickers. Some prefer to sit on the showroom car and reserve for the impulse whale or as a bargaining chip for either a long-term frequent client or client seeking multiple cars. In those cases they could be willing to come way down on ADM.

I saw 50k markup in a dealership in S. Florida as well and it was sold.
