Carbon Exterior Bits
Hey Guys,
Happy New Year! It's been awhile since I last posted on here as I am still weighing my options. Still on the fence about the M2 but what keeps me in it is the bang for the buck (a whole lot of power for a decent price). I wanted to start a thread to see how many people are going to be going for the exterior carbon M performance parts (front air vents as such). Also, any idea how much those would run? I definitely a going with the 1000M wheels but am also debating about those carbon bits. Most likely going with Alpine White. Again Happy New Year to you all! |

Carbon Fiber Package from factory, then the mirror caps, front bumper inserts, and rear diffuser some time down the line.
I wish the front lip and side skirts didn’t have those gaudy winglets. Were they supposed to be canards? Who knows. |

OEM carbon parts will be pricey. Going to wait and see what the aftermarket holds…which I’m sure will have great quality at half the cost.

Yeah, I am sure aftermarket would be much cheaper. Unfortunately for me, I am not very good with modding my cars on my own so I would probably have to pay someone to do that. I would assume getting the OEM parts, would the cost also include the dealership installing them? If not, then yeah, getting aftermarket would have to be the way to go.

That being said, they M spoiler is a must (not the look-a-lije WRX wing). That stupid thingie that comes on the deck lid is an embarrassment. |

Yeah the port angle is interesting. A while back I went into one of my local BMW dealerships because I wanted to sit in the carbon bucket seats and compare them to the non-carbon buckets. I told the rep that I am possibly interested in the placing a deposit on the new M2 and would like to get the 1000M wheels in gold. I asked if I can get them in addition to the car (meaning I purchase the car with the stardard wheels which I would use as part of a winter set) and the 1000Ms as part of my summer set. The rep said if you order the 1000M wheels, they would come on the car already. It will be interesting to see what does and does not come installed on the car.

I asked my SA about this and he said that suspension is not usually a port installed option, I'm hoping he is wrong. If anyone knows better than him input would be nice. If it's not port installed it's not worth it for me. |

I am definitely doing the HAS kit, 963 wheels, roof spoiler and taller rear wing (w/vinyl color wrap). I'm hoping carbon buckets will be offered separately but not getting my hopes up. |
