What brand tires did you get with your M240i? Some help?

I want to know what tires are usually fitted by the factory on the M240i. I ask because I have mine on order scheduled to arrive in March. The first shipment of 2023 M240i's came in about two weeks ago and I visited the dealer to see them on day 1 of their arrival. They were all fitted with Pirelli P Zeros. I came back today and saw them in the showroom now fitted with Bridgestone Turanzas!

I am pretty sure the dealership has swapped them out because these are cheaper tires. Now I don't want that to happen to me but at the same time the specifications on my order do not indicate a tire brand or type at all (it just says "Mixed tires" and "runflat tires"! How do I ensure that I get P zeros if that is indeed what it ships with?

What tires does BMW officially ship M240i's with? What tires did you get?

I'm not sure about other markets, but here in the U.K. I'm pretty sure it was:

Standard:
Pirelli P Zeros

With ZTK Upgraded:
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

I'm sure the ZTK pack also gives you wider rears, I think 255, but someone can correct me if wrong.

This is mostly-right in the USA. Except that it’s also available with all-season run flats (Bridgestones I think) in a non-staggered setup. Both the all seasons and the Pirellis are no-cost options, with the PS4S coming in the ZYK pack.

If you’re looking at one on the lot the dealer may have optioned it with the square setup, hence the all season tires. If you’re ordering, be sure to order with the staggered setup to get the Pirelli PZ4s.

Just wanted to add... someone I work with apparently just got a Thundernight 240 and it came with Bridgestones so, can confirm the all season run flats are Bridgestones.

Oh. The one's I saw was a Thundernight 240 as well. But a Portimao Blue one still had P Zeroes. Odd that different colors are possibly being fitted with different tires (since the dealer told me they got 4 240s in the same spec just different colors).

Not odd at all. You can order it with either all season or summer tires. Summer are Pirelli, all season are Bridgestone. Check the sticker I bet the wheel/tire option codes are different.

I don't believe the color has anything to do with it. There are effectively 4 tire options offered, which I think break down as follows:

- Performance Run Flats (Pirelli)
- Performance Non-Run Flats (Pirelli)
- All-Season Run Flats (Bridgestone)
- ZTK High Performance Non-Run Flats (Michelin)

There is also an All-Season Non-Run Flat option. Though that maybe limited to the 230i. I’m picking up my car in a few weeks and will find out that it has then.

Based on a cursory check of the bmw website that appears to be the case.

Although, I'm sure the dealer would install some AS non-run flats if asked.

I know this question was asked regarding the 240 but for our 230 with the M Sport Pkg, customer order car in Southern CA (not us, original customer backed out), with the 791M wheels came with non-RFT Pirelli P Zeros

Honestly, didn't care which summer tire I got so long as it added option '840' to the build, since I'm bound to replace them either way.

USA - I got the Bridgestone all season run flats, they are TERRIBLE. Does anyone know the stock size of the OEM wheels? Are they 8 in front and 8.5 in the back?

If you have the all-seasons, they should be 19x8 on all four corners. Easy way to confirm, look at the tire sizes 225/40R19 all four. If rears are 255/35R19 then staggered set up with 19x8.5 on the back.

I have all seasons and I do have the staggered setup with 225 front and 255 rear. So I guess 8 front 8.5 back. What is the widest tire you can go?

Just to update everyone, I finally took delivery of my M240i yesterday and I got what I wanted. A staggered set of runflat P zeroes! Thanks for everyone who contributed information to this thread.

791
792
797
893 (high performance package)

Just to add more to the list. My 2022 with 791M performance runflat came with Bridgestone Turanza T005 star RFT.
